Welcome to the Spullis family garden!
We, Andreas and Anita Spuller live on a 7.5 hectare farm in the south eastern part of Corinthia, Austria, which we purchased in 2013. Over the span of 15 years, we homeschooled our 4 boys, who are now adults and no longer live with us. The opportunity to homeschool and live out in the country, helped us realize what a privilege it is to walk with God and better understand His will for us. (see Ephesians 2:10).
Our journey as a family began 5 kms away from the closest city, which had an approximate population of 100,000. During the summer holidays, we took our boys to the weekly farmers market where we would sell homemade bread and pastries. We continued going to the farmers market for over 13 years and throughout this time, God taught us, step by step, what it means to reach people with the health message.
Many times, we invited our farmers market customers to both Country Life Mattersdorferhof TGM and the local vegan restaurant Delicious for health workshops. And because our customers had questions relevant to their health, God used that opportunity to teach us practical, valuable and useful skills for a healthy lifestyle. Through our customers questions, God showed us what topics to study and focus on so we could give them what they were looking for.
My husband, Andreas, has worked as a colporteur for 12 years, and during this time, he learned about God’s design for healing - natural remedies. Once a month, we provided workshops for our farmers market customers which covered topics that were of interest to them.
In our continuous study of the book "Ministry of Healing" by Ellen G. White, Andreas and I came across a passage which instructed us to teach people how to work and grow a garden. Immediately the question arose: “Who would be interested in learning that?” So, we began praying and made plans to hold a workshop on the following Tuesday. We printed 3 invitations for our “afternoon in the garden” workshop, which I took with me to the farmers market the next day. At the market, 3 ladies approached me and asked if they could come to our workshop, so I invited them to join us at our farm. Over the next year, these ladies brought their families to our farm and we worked, learned, cooked and ate together.

Some time later, after much prayer and consideration, we decided to sell our house and look for a place further out in the country. The house was for sale for 1 year, but nobody was interested in buying it. In our study of God’s plan for us as an end time church, we came across the book “Another Ark to Build” by W.D Frazee. In this book, the author emphasized the point of how important it is to prepare outposts that God will be able to use in the end time to help people with their health through natural remedies as well as showing them His love through nature. Just as Enoch welcomed people to his country home to teach them of God’s love, so should we prepare such outposts for the end time.
At this point in our study, we were not sure how we were to go about realizing this calling without money, experience or a higher education that would allow us to earn money by working in a high paying field. However, we knew one thing: God will always be with us and He will lead us and hold our hand through the whole process. (see Isaiah 41:14, Psalms 32:8).
So, it was our daily prayer, asking: “Lord, where do You want us to be?”
In the spring of 2013, the Lord sent a family to us who bought the home we were trying to sell. One week after they agreed to purchase the house, our realtor made us aware of a farm that was going to be listed for sale, but had not been posted yet.
His will is that everyone would be helped and that they would come to know the truth. (see 1 Timothy 2:4).
Because we sold our house, we were now able to purchase this farm.
The new farm was approximately 50km away from our previous home. We now had 7.5 hectares of land available for farming and other things. As we prayed for, it came with its own spring, orchards, fields to grow vegetables on, hay fields and forested areas to provide sufficient fire wood for our house. It is located in a very secluded and quiet spot. These are all miracles that God blessed us with and now our question to God was: “How should we use this beautiful farm for His honour and glory? What area of ministry should we use it in?”
My husband, Andreas, attended courses on how to make good compost. This is one of the natural ways to build up the soil and to add necessary nutrients as well as help with maintaining good water storage even when it is hot and dry.
In 2016, some of our friends encouraged us to consider making our home available for foster children. After much thought and prayer, we decided to take the necessary training to be able to do this kind of ministry. Later that same year, we got the call to take on 4 foster children, which we accepted.

The transition from having adult children to now having small children in the home again was very intense at the beginning. This was a time of learning and growing together. It turned out to be a big blessing to the children, as they were able to grow in nature, and learn on the farm.
Through the ministry with the foster children, God opened the door for us to come in contact with government agencies, schools, therapists and neighbours with whom we would not have gotten in contact with otherwise. As we got to know more people, we also got to know more of the needs in our community.
After 12 years of learning how to grow food on the field, God called my husband out of his job as HVAC technician. Since January 2025, we are now full-time employees in the Lord’s family ministry. He has opened the door for my husband and I to work side by side on the Spullis Family Garden. Though becoming self employed was a little scary at the beginning, we know that God is our employer and leads us day by day according to His will.

In the spring of 2025, we started cultivating our fields, and preparing our 2 big greenhouses, which are both approximately 40m long and 8m wide. In February, we planted our first 600 lettuce plants, as well as corn salad and kohlrabi. As the first produce was ready for harvest, we made plans to go to the farmers market in the neighbouring town approximately 20km away.

The farmers market management was very pleased to hear that we wanted to come to the market, as they had no vendors selling locally grown produce at the time. From our first day at the market, our customers have been kind to us, even to the extend of advertising for us on their personal social media platforms.
The newspaper wrote several articles about our work and the radio station came to interview us at the market as well.
Because of all the advertisement, a lot of people found out about us. Again, we experienced how God’s plan was perfect and how He provided everything for us.
The first few weeks, we had a very basic booth set up made up of a folding table and a small bench. Three weeks later, we found a market trailer for sale nearby. This trailer comes with a tarp roof and provides a lot of display space for our produce. It is also a good way of transporting a lot of the produce from the farm to the market. We are amazed at how thankful and kind all our customers are and how much they are interested in buying naturally grown produce.

They have all been very understanding and patient when certain produce is not quite ready for harvest yet.

Throughout this growing season, we were able to offer garlic, onions, red beets, cabbage, herbs, plums, pears, cucumbers, carrots, kale, kohlrabi, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, zucchini, flowers, dehydrated fruit, jams, homemade gluten free breads and buns, vegan burgers, vegan mayonnaise, gluten free granola, marinated carrots, vegan cakes, and more. We offer all the recipes to our customers for free, and encourage them to try the recipes themselves.

By God’s grace, we were blessed with student workers who were able to help us keep up with all the work throughout the busy season. By mid-July, the demand on the market has grown so much, that we ran out of growing space on our fields for our fall plantings. To our surprise, one of our previous neighbours, offered us a 50 by 50 meter plot on one of his fields for our fall planting. The planting on this field has grown really well so far. We are thankful for all the experiences and God’s leading every step of the way. Psalm 34:8 invites us to “taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him.”

We offer workshops for families where we teach useful and simple skills where we try our best to give them hands on experience. It could be garden workshops, cooking classes, 8 laws of health classes or just exploring all the wild edibles that are available in our area. It is our wish to continue learning from Jesus and to continue sharing useful knowledge and skills with people in need. As Mary told the disciples in John 2:5 “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

We want to encourage you to continue being His student and to continue doing what He tells you to do. The best place to be is where God wants you to be. With this in mind, you will experience what Jesus promised in Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
He is faithful and blesses us more than we can ever imagine. His question to you is: “Whom shall I send and who will go for Us?” Isaiah 6:8.
Are you ready to be His messenger?
May the Lord bless you richly so you can be a blessing to many people.
(see Genesis 12:2). Follow Jesus step by step and trust Him. (see John 12:26, 1 Peter 2:21, 2 Peter 3:18).
